WWII ERA ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR "BUY WAR BONDS" BY TY MAHON
For those who haven't heard of Ty Mahon, he was a political cartoonist during WWII for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin. Mostly you see prints in black & white...almost all of political in nature. This original watercolor, which has never been on the market previously, shows people sitting around in possibly a train / bus station or waiting to purchase war bonds with posters for war bonds & other WWII post slogans on the walls. The painting itself measures 24" wide x 20" high (original framing 32.75" x 29"). This watercolor was owned exclusively by the artist & his wife (it has been passed down in the family until now). It is full of everyday life from the was era.
