In the Arts & Crafts style, this original vintage metal firebox surround is simple (like most Arts & Crafts items), yet has some interesting detailing: the hood w/hole pattern & the studding down each side. This is one beautiful antique full size fireplace mantel all in quarter sawn oak. Now totally restored & saved by decades of crappy paint. It has delicate leaves on the corners of the lintel shelf that is completed with a band of Egg & Dart molding. Complete with 2 shelves & full columns that are half fluted. This antique fireplace surround adds instant ambiance to any room-new or old. It stands 82" high x 60" wide, with the firebox opening at 38 3/4" high x 41 1/2" wide (it would take up to a 30" wide new gas insert). And don't forget the beveled mirror. A wonderful piece with strong lines for a renovation project or new construction.

This vintage 1920's black marble mantel once graced a huge formal dinning room in a grand estate. "Graystone" was built in the 1920's. This classic Federal styled marble fireplace surround has a wonderful carved lintel showing great classical urns & swags. These panels were originally gilt (which has been worn off thru the years) now show as black. With a large opening for a wood or gas firebox box that measures 60" wide x 43" high that can allow for a zero clearance firebox. Or add marble to make use of a smaller box. The mantel's overall size is 80" wide x 56" high with the top being 9 3/4" deep. A truly stupendous piece of history from a prominent family who founded Rossford, Ohio & Libbey Owens Ford (know as LOF/now Pilkenton Glass). The house unfortunately has been demolished but this magnificent vintage black marble fireplace mantel can breath new life in another setting for an appreciative new owner.

And tile F is a more mottled, semi matte darker green Arts & Crafts tile. They don't have to be used only around a fire box. They would be great worked into a backsplash or in a bathroom. Here are 4 options of antique & vintage fireplace tiles we have in this 6" x 6" size (which was a common size for a fire box surround). Tile A is a matte finish darker brown Arts & Crafts tile. Tile B is a more semi gloss taupe colored Arts & Crafts or Mission styled tile. While the 2 lower tiles - C/D are from an 1870's Victorian era apartment building. I do not know who made this particular set of 6" x 6" antique Victorian era tiles in olive green. Nicely done, the tiles depict a farm or everyday life genre scene of a boy on a fence & a girl pulling a wagon. Beautiful for a fireplace, kitchen back splash or bathroom where that touch of a bygone era is desired. Please note: these still have their original mortar on the back.
